In Memoriam
For those brave souls whose fates we have sought

Comes a time when sun's set avails us to naught
We would wish you farewell
As the winds fill your sail
Our tears are but traces of what love's labour's wrought.
Our cries are but myths of what love's labour's lost.

Come to gather, nurture adventure and sorrow
The tides intervene the moon rises nigh
White clouds scud breathlessly in the sky
Not an ordinary meet but one for tomorrow

For those brave souls whose fates in vain we sought
A word we would leave,  a parting kiss of love
Not adieu, but as Autumn’s  leaves from the trees above,
Colours abound in your glory, Peace in our troth.

Scattered far and near, in deep’ning cries of “Cheer!”
A mood of catch as catch can is found
No longer a stranger, no longer a foe be bound
But welcome to friends past present and the future years.

In mem’ries lush, the hills of north Virginia
We gather, across the void we shout, “Be seein’ ya!”
